We suggest carving over the weekend so your pumpkin is “fresh cut” looking for the judging. If you have done it sooner or want to make one carved over the weekend even sharper looking you can try a cool trick we have learned – just put it in a clean trash can of water to soak over night with a rock or brick on top to keep it submerged. You can keep it in all day or overnight, all the exposed fleshy parts of your pumpkin will soak up the water and your carving will look as good as new! This can be repeated a few times to keep it nice for Halloween too.
Be safe and have fun, see you Monday!
