Presenting… the poster for the 20th Annual Bridgehampton Lions Carving Contest on Monday, October 29th starting @5pm! We’re not talking turkey carving, although I suppose you could carve a turkey too. If you’re not coming for the puppet show then definitely get there well before it’s dark and if your not familiar with the event, there’s no actual carving going on, you have to spend the weekend before doing that.
To commemorate the past 19 years we are bringing back many of our favorite retired categories. Do you remember Dentist’s Dream? It was a favorite from 2000-2005 and Classic Jack is the only category to make all 20 Events. Check out the poster below and links to the carving galleries on the left of this site if you need some motivation besides all the prize money… remember it’s FREE to enter and FREE to see but you can’t win the cash unless you bring a carved pumpkin or squash-like life form. Also, many tend to forget about the categories… if you carve to fit a category you will be more likely to win… pick your favorite or if you can’t decide go for 3! Sometimes a category has just a few entries so there may be a guaranteed win in your future if you make the effort.
2018 Mystery Category: Most Aerodynamic – This was actually a popular category on the on the original private pilot event but never made the big show, till now!
